Mannum Women Bowlers hosted the Mannum Community Club Fours
on Wednesday 23rd September 2015
President Denise Barnes extended a warm welcome to players
from Aldinga, Jervois, Ascot Park, Karoonda, Gawler, Murray Bridge RSL,
Bordertown, Murray Bridge, Eudunda, Blackwood, Gumeracha, Meningie, Kapunda,
Lameroo, Lobethal, Milang and Tailem Bend.
Patroness of the Mannum Bowling Club, Elsie Waechter, was
invited to open the day.
One game of 12 ends was played before lunch and 2 games of 8
ends after lunch. Ideal conditions
contributed to the excellent bowling with the Murray Bridge team of Helen
Lindner, Kristeena Kirchner, Sue Smart and Kaye Hughes winning the day.
Lobethal players Mary Matthews, Bev Gericke, Halina Suffolk and Diann Evans
were second and the Jervois four Judith Obst, Helen Roberts, Elaine Atkins and
Helen Foster finishing in third spot.
Invited guest Lorrae Law acting manager of the Mannum
Community Club assisted with the presentations to Lee Robinson, Milang, Ruth
Scoot, Kapunda and Marion Thomas, Morphett Vale who had the first touchers in
Men's Champions for 2016-17

SA Police Bowling Association visit 2016
The Executive members of the Police Association got things going at Mannum this year. They did a fantastic job and everyone had a great time.

Jonesy was not going to be outbowled by the girls and he sent down a bouncer that landed right on top of their bowls to rest on the kitty.
It helped them come in second for the day!! What a bowler!!!!
