Right in the heart of Mannum - a short stroll to everything local
Mannum versus Langhorne Creek day on September 20th was a great day for all.
Langhorne Creek spoilt us with a great spread at the half time break and then followed up with a high tea at the completion of the game.
The green played very well - considering it had been dusted just three weeks ago. It was a little slower than the Mannum greens but our players adapted well and played some great bowls during the afternoon.
Langhorne Creek won on 5 of the 7 rinks but the overall margin was just 14 shots. This showed the closeness of the games overall.
Our Publicity Officer - Gaynor Pitcher - was busy during the day taking some candid shots of the bowlers on the green and in the clubhouse.
President Phil Zanker of Langhorne Creek was happy to receive the winning shield from Mannum president - Maurie Davey.

Jonesy was not going to be outbowled by the girls and he sent down a bouncer that landed right on top of their bowls to rest on the kitty.
It helped them come in second for the day!! What a bowler!!!!
